About This Dog for Adoption

Tibby's ideal home

Tibby (meaning 'God's brave one'),is approx 1 year 10 months old. Tibby came into our care after having what looks to be a hard start at life. She has settled into foster life very well and adores all her new human friends. She is incredibly affectionate would choose a spot on your lap over anything else. Tibby may take a little time to evaluate a new situation or person, although this doesn’t last long with her love language being food and snuggles. Tibby walks well on the lead, travels well in the car, has chosen the human bed as her preferred place to sleep at night, she knows the command sit, and as if she wasn’t already cute enough, she does an excited dance before each meal!

Could you be Tibby's perfect match?

Tibby is not sure of other dogs - She has some scars on her body that could be an indication that she has not always had positive involvement with other dogs. Due to this, she would need to be the only dog in a home. Tibby has had a few walking buddies and has done incredibly well, but she prefers her own space and would not like dogs with high energy trying to play. We feel that over time, this could improve as she heals and gains confidence, this will need to be taken slowly and after repeated positive interactions, alongside training.
Tibby is a melt-in-your-arms like butter type of girl. Even after a hard start in life, her willingness to trust is inspiring and as a team we just adore her. Her foster family are smitten with her.

Bulldog Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a English Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Bulldog Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
