About This Dog for Adoption

Stella's ideal home

Stella needs a home free of other pets as she is very nervous and lacks social skills. We have no history for her but due to her needing slow introductions to people she is best suited to a home where any children are over 16.

Could you be Stella's perfect match?

Stella is an awful lot of fun but she does need time to warm up to people. She seems naturally suspicious and we don't know what her background is but once she trusts you she is a fantastic friend. Stella is incredibly playful and bounds around the place like Tigger, as if she has springs for legs! She loves to chase after toys and will bring them back for you to throw again. Stella is very wary of anything new and her adopters will need to be sure not to rush her into anything she isn't comfortable with. Once she's grown in confidence with someone she has no issues at all and is very friendly. Stella is friendly with dogs too and greets them very excitedly but can't regulate her giddiness! For now she'll need to be the only dog at home but once she's settled and got used to her new family and surroundings, some pals for walks and playtime will be ideal, but they'll need to be tolerant of her play style.

Bulldog Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a English Bulldog.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
  • Seller asks to immediately switch to communication off the Bulldog Owners website
  • Seller uses a different phone number to the one listed on the website - especially if that phone number is in one of the advert images

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
